DTG Accelerates Growth in First-Half 2021 with Advanced New Mobile Workstations and Battery Systems for Warehouse and Logistics, Dining Services
DTG Celebrates Unprecedented Year with Product Innovations, Channel Partner Program, Marquis Customers and Expanding Leadership Team
WILMINGTON, Mass.– Sept. 15, 2021 – DTG, the leading provider of industrial-strength power systems and mobile workstations, today announced that it has accelerated growth and achieved key milestones in the first half of 2021. By June 2021, the company achieved 100 percent year-over-year growth and accelerated product innovation, with the first commercially available portable RFID reader to handle the labor-intensive inventory, fulfillment and distribution needs of one of the world’s largest online retailers. DTG also completed the successful launch of its Channel Partner Program, strengthened its senior management team with seasoned industry veterans, and expanded its customer base with major companies such as Home Depot, Best Buy, and DHL.
“Despite the challenges of the past year, we have seen very strong demand for our customized, power-based mobile workstations,” said Steve Shaheen, DTG’s CEO. “Now more than ever, powered workstations are needed at the point-of-task to modernize workflows, streamline processes, increase productivity, and improve safety in industries such as warehouse and logistics, healthcare, dining, and retail services. It’s an exciting time to be innovating and delivering new solutions that address so many critical service needs. ”
RFID-Enabled Mobile Workstation Delivers Faster Data Capture
DTG developed an RFID-enabled workstation to handle the labor-intensive inventory, fulfillment and distribution center needs of one of the world’s largest online retailers. The company has also made these systems commercially available via resellers for any setting in which data capture is required within a rugged environment.
“The growth of RFID technology for asset tracking, inventory management and order fulfillment is gaining huge traction as retailers, manufacturers and others look for greater accuracy, efficiency and speed,” said Steve Shaheen, DTG Managing Partner and Co-founder. “We developed a mobile workstation that is more powerful, safe and efficient than a handheld reader, and able to automate the identification and tracking of data in warehouses, fulfillment centers and other locations.”
Expanding Channel Partner Program
Last month, DTG announced its Channel Partner Program, which brings the benefits of its solutions to an ever-growing base of the world’s largest value-added resellers (VARs) and systems integrators. The new program has accelerated the success of DTG’s channel community through exclusive benefits, comprehensive education, sales support and marketing resources. DTG primarily sells through channel partners, including more than 19 VAR and systems integrators and Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) solution providers, such as Barcoding, Inc., DecisionPoint, TRG and SLS RFID.
Senior-Level Appointment
DTG also appointed industry veteran William Michalek, Vice President, Channel Development, to lead and expand the company’s partnerships. Michalek brings more than 30 years of channel, vertical market and business development experience within the AIDC market, including barcode, RFID, sensor and mobile technologies.
