Award Recognizes DHL’s use of Mobile Workstations to Reduce Motion Waste,
WILMINGTON, MASS. – July 6, 2022 – DTG, the leading provider of industrial-strength power systems and mobile workstation solutions, today announced that it has been selected as a recipient of the Top Supply Chain Projects Award for 2022 by Supply & Demand Chain Executive. The award spotlights successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises across a range of supply chain functions.
DTG received the award for its work with DHL to minimize motion waste in its shipment processes. DTG installed battery-powered mobile workstations to enable DHL to significantly reduce motion waste, minimize rework waste, and add value by creating a less laborious process.
“Reducing motion waste not only boosts productivity and efficiency, it also addresses safety and quality issues,” said Steve Shaheen, DTG CEO. “Battery-powered mobile solutions are enabling warehouse and logistics personnel, like those at DHL, to access essential applications and materials at the point of task, creating a more efficient, safer, profitable operation. We’re honored by the Supply & Demand Chain Executive award that recognizes the importance of these transformative, value-add initiatives.”
